Tango, rock and percussions in Buenos Aires

If I tell you “Argentina, Buenos Aires” what would you answer ? “Tango!” of course! Buenos Aires is the city of tango, this expressive and sensual dance, very unique. If you walk around in some of the most touristic streets you would surely find tango showz. But in fact they does not dance for free, there are here to promote very expensive night shows for tourists. They are certainly good but their very touristic nature leave away the magic of tango.

Not very far from the tango show you can also find some panpipes players, playing Céline Dion hits in the Andean way. A bit further we find something a lot more interesting : an Argentine rock group!

The group is composed of one singer girl, one drummer and two guitarists. What a success! The public is really enthusiastic. A women of the public even comes and joins the singer! This is Buenos Aires! Good mood and bons vivants! By the way Argentine rock is well-known in all South America.

Bomba del Tiempo, Buenos Aires, Argentine

Buenos Aires is a really culturally rich city. One night we have been to a percussion concert: La Bomba del Tiempo. Twelve percussionists were playing furious rhythms that made the public in a trance state. The variety of rhythms was amazing.

There is no doubt, Buenos Aires is a cosmopolitan city and we would like to stay a bit more. But we need to leave and go further!

    Olivier
